PNTR10
I currently have Klipsch RB75 fronts, RC7 center, RB61 surrounds, RS62 rear and two SVS PB 1000 subs in a 6.1 setup. My wife wants to redecorate and now I can't find a proper place for the center. The TV is mounted over the fireplace. Is there an on-wall that I can use for the center? TasDom
These should work http://www.pinpointmounts.com/AM-15_Center_Channel_Speaker_Mount.html#.VRcq3uHw6n8 Edited March 28, 2015 by Tasdom
PNTR10
Unfortunately a mount will not work. The RC 7 is way to big to mount below the TV on the front of the mantle.
TasDom
Actually that's only rated to 30 lbs. RC-7 is 42 lbs. but all you need is some stout L braces.
PNTR10
Here's my problem. Sorry for the blurry picture, I took it with my IPad. Edited March 28, 2015 by PNTR10

Not sure what you're asking for exactly. Are you wanting a different speaker or a mount for the one you have now?
PNTR10
ON-WALL I can mount to the fireplace mantle. I built the mantle and the power and all the wires run through it and the top is removable for access.
TasDom
Can the tv be mounted higher up?
PNTR10
No, it's already pretty high, and the depth of the RC7 is much greater than the mantle. Same problem putting it above the TV, it's just too big. I don't know if you can see, but right now it is under the fireplace angled up. The coffee table is in the way of the speaker and our sitting positions.
mustang guy
I know this isn't what you asked, but have you considered a phantom center? The mains are pretty close together, and it would probably work very well in this situation.
PNTR10
Thanks, thought of it, tried it and it didn't work for me.
Ceptorman
Is that flame smoking into the room and turning your brick fireplace front black, under the mantle? The brick looks smoke stained.
derrickdj1
Is it time to bring a little more wood to the fire?
