Tube Amp Bias (HH Scott 222c)...

SWL

Recommended Posts

If your bias setting on your amp, in my case an HH Scott 222c, is too low or too high (based on the recommended setting of .220 - .250).......will it affect the sound quality or sound characteristics of the amp in any way?

Thanks,

-Scott

changing bias point has very miniscule almost inaudible amount of sonic effect, the higher you go the tighter the sound will be, the lower you go the looser the sound will get... just bias it between .22 and .25 and forget it. Its really not worth getting anal about.

edit: cleaned up my craiglish ;)
