maukjosh Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 I have a 7.2 system that I'm running at 5.2 with the fronts rf-82ii bi amped and fr-52 for rears but want to change up the rears for more punch. I listen to alot of music as well as movies do Yall think the rb-81 ii or the more expensive rs-260s? What will I truly get more from? And also I'd not bi-amp your mains as it takes power away from the other channels and does absolutely no good with passive crossovers. Some(very few) AVR's have two or more power supplies, one for the front three channels and one for the side and rear surrounds. In that case, there "may" be a benefit to "bi amping" the main speakers with the rear surround channels. Most AVR's are built with only one power supply with all channels sharing a single transformer and usually no more than two power caps. Is it 95 watts ACD, or just 95x2 @ 8 ohms? Most specs are either 1 or 2 channels driven, so usually the actual WPC is much lower than what is on the spec sheet.
