wvu80
I veneered them. You can see the process here: http://wardsweb.org/audio/Widgets/ Nice photo essay from your website on the veneering. You mention so causally about what you did, as if anybody could do that kind of first rate job, no problem! I assure you, most of us could not. +++ BTW, I agree with your wife about leaving the horns exposed. I think it looks super sharp that way. juniper
Awesome system, but how does it sound? I like the 802g's with tangerines, with jbl tweeters... My audio friend keeps telling me I should put the 802's on my k402's...
Wardsweb
Awesome system, but how does it sound? I like the 802g's with tangerines, with jbl tweeters... My audio friend keeps telling me I should put the 802's on my k402's... There is a magic with the synergy between the big SET amps and my horns. There is detail and depth to make music real. The added power of the ASL's give the bass a solid strong impact without being overbearing. Needless to say, I am reallly liking what my systems is doing now. I know never say never, but I think I'm done for speakers, amps and turntable. I'm still open to other preamps, linestages and phono stages. Time and some rolling will help to dial those in too. Life is good.
twistedcrankcammer
Awesome job on the Veneer work! Those speakers are rather small to weigh in at 300 pounds each...WOW!! Roger
juniper
Thanks for the description, sounds like a well balanced speaker and system. I cant say I have heard to many that are as you described and you made them!!! That's just awesome, great for you!!!
