Woofers and Tweeters
Thanks for posting "Pair of very nice Klipsch La Scallas from 1978. lots of people think these dont come up for sale so heres your chance. These sound perfect with no hint of distortion with a 800 watt amp running them. Call for more info 918-860-3074" Wonder how much of that 800 watt he's using? <edit> I see from the GS section that I'm not the only one who questions this lol Edited April 20, 2015 by jweber

As I recall the PWK/Keel chart, that would have given him about 115 dB out in the room (excluding a few very brief peaks).

Wonder if he had the EQ very far above flat, too????

Rivervalleymgb
I paid $800 for mine and that included an Adcom 555ii and 555ii preamp outside of Siloam Springs. There are an incredible amount of speaker flippers in this area and Siloam is only a little over an hour away from Tulsa. They sat on CL for about a month before I went to look at them. They were listed for $1200 in the listing with no mention of the amp and preamp. There is very little Klipsch that comes up for sale in the area, so the comment about them not coming up very often is right on. Prices on average are VERY high on most vintage gear in the Tulsa area. I am not going to say where the best buys are in Tulsa, but some are more than reasonable. I just bought a pair of B&W 802 Diamonds that have pushed my K-horns out of rotation for what I thought was a smokin' hot deal (about the same as I paid for my K-horns, which are pristine).
