harmony08
These are being sold locally. I am told these are Klipsch commercial line. Therefore, I thought this would be the correct place to put this inquiry. A price has not been set yet because they are trying to find the year made and the original price. I'm told, "They are unique because they are bass reflex instead of sealed cabinets, and they have pole cups mounted on the bottoms"..... I was originally looking for some Heresy's locally...and these are what came in. I'm not well versed with speakers. Is this the heresy sound that I am looking for locally? I was just wanting some vintage Klipsch for the back master bedroom... You thoughts would be appreciated. Harmony
mustang guy
They are bass bins. 50Hz - 400Hz(+-)4dB (-10dB @ 38Hz) @ 3 meters, 1/2 space anechoicUsable response to 1.5kHz 101dB @ 2.83V, 1 meter, 1/2 space anechoic http://www.klipsch.com/kp-115/details If you buy them, you will need a crossover or bi-amp and a horn that is good from about 350Hz-17KHz like the K-402 or 510. You could also build a 2 way top with a midrange and a tweeter if you are into woodworking. If you notice the hole in the top of the bin, that is where you insert a pole which connects to the top hat portion. I would build it from about 250Hz to 22Khz personally. Is this the heresy sound that I am looking for locally? If you were looking for Heresy's for a back master bedroom, then the KP-115SW is absolutely NOT what you want. If you want to post a location or zip code, type of speaker you want (like vintage Klipsch legacy) then a price range, there are people here who are amazing at finding deals and suggesting speakers in your locale. +++ Hey Mustang Guy: What is the commercial version of the Heresy? That sound might be what Mr. Harmony08 is looking for. Edited April 20, 2015 by wvu80

mustang guy
Harmony, you should just hold out for a set of Heresy's. You'll find some eventually. They are great speakers. Where are you located? Dave, the ones I have are KP-201 and are pro versions of the Heresy II.

harmony08
I'm in Tulsa. Cornwall's in OK City - they want $800 Too much for my budget ($350) heresy 1 in Fairfield, MO for $360 - a long drive. I am not in a hurry, but I am sure learning a great deal. Maybe I'll find the holy grail at a yard sale and make the forum members gasp!

mustang guy
The closest pair of Heresy's I ever bought were 20 miles away. The farthest were 5 hours away. The average is about 3 /12 hours. Mean price is about $300/pair not including gas. The KP-201 is also a great alternative to a normal Heresy or Heresy II. Some people sell them for less even though they are actually better than either.
