rennoc442
For sale is my RSW 15. This sub is in great shape, just missing the cover but who would want to cover that subwoofer?!Sorry for the horrible pics but that's all I can find at the moment. $800. Located in central Florida. rennoc442
I forgot to add that I have a mahogany veneer that I planned to cover this sub with to match my 30s that I will toss in with the sale if wanted.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2015 Man that is one sexy setup! Just curious....what is the difference between blonde ash and Maple? The Klipsch website says the RSW-15 only came in Cherry and Ash Wood (guessing that's black) but you and I both own RSW-15's that are neither of those flavors. Best wishes with your sale.
Gorm
Its likely Maple... If not, feel free to post a picture of the back of the units serial number where the finish is stated.
Gorm
I did a google search for "Klipsch blond ash" Almost every site listed had content from the OP.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2015 I did a google search for "Klipsch blond ash" Almost every site listed had content from the OP. I'm seeing the same thing. According to this site (which looks like they just copy/pasted from Klipsch's original website), no Blonde Ash is mentioned as well. Audio Reviews states, "The RSW-15 is available in furniture-grade blond maple, medium cherry or jet ash wood veneers." Kimba, are you sure it's "Ash"? Isn't "Ash" typically referring to black color? rennoc442
My bad yes it is maple thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure why but it's such a light color it looks more like a blonde color than maple.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2015 Guess it depends on the tree they made the veneer from
sourceoneaudio
Why are you selling...? Also do you have the original box for safe shipping..?
Moderators Youthman Posted April 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2015 I hate to say it but even if he has the original box doesn't ensure safe shipping. I have a few RF5 parts for sale in the garage sale as proof.

Maple is a very smooth light colored wood with no real distinct grain pattern. Ash is a lighter colored wood but with an obvious grain pattern. Why are you selling...? Yeah, why are you selling such a beauty? Man that is one sexy setup! What Youth said. Good luck with your sale. How's the family? rennoc442
I'm selling because it's been 2 years since I've used it, and in my future plans I will be building a horn loaded sub to go with some khorns or lascallas. Don't really want to sell but what good is a beautiful sub sitting around not being used?

rennoc442
I do not have the original box, and I'm not too sure shipping this sub would be a good idea unless it was handled very carefully.

rennoc442
I'm not fond of shipping this sub, unless buyer wants to pay for white glove service.
twistedcrankcammer
You don't need "white glove service" but it should be shipped freight on a pallet if you want it to arrive safely!!! I bought 3 separate subs a few years back for $1600 to $1800 each. All three arrived from two separate shipping companies with the magnet structures sheared completely in half from being dropped. I do not ship UPS or FEDEX anymore because of this!!! UPS gave the most crap about paying up as well! Roger
BiggieSmalls
really want but shipping will be the deal breaker Edited April 25, 2015 by BiggieSmalls
Ceptorman
Hey Rennoc442, just curious about your avatar. Is it from the grill of a 1971 442? I had a 69 and a 71, wish I still had one….cool cars.
Moderators Youthman Posted April 24, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 24, 2015 I agree. Freight would be the only way I would ship the sub.
