Gilbert
Besides the promoters, and a couple of cable networks, who's gonna win the $100 PPV match-up between Pacman & Money Mayweather? I'm no where near the fan I use to be, but I had been waiting for this fight since forever. Between Floyd's constant dodging this match-up and the corruption within the sanctioning bodies, I'm about 99.8% out of love with boxing, and this is the only fight I can recall being interested in since around 2008 or so. Gilbert
Sorry guys, I just realized that I initially made this a POLL a vote-only thread...... but, I figured it out and changed it so anyone can add to the thread. Based on initial poll results, it seems the boxing guys want Manny to win, but most think Mayweather's gonna take it. Not so, not so. I'm going to go out on a limb... not really,....... by saying Mayweather won't and can't win this fight (yes, it's Vegas, I know, anything can happen, especially if Patricia Jarman (aka Bad Call Jarman) is allowed as a judge). Mayweather's personal history of antics and BS so he could dodge the fight suggests to me his own personal doubts. Now, at 38 yrs. and looking at the inevitable..... he makes it work. Manny, by unanimous decision..... unless of course Patricia is sitting ringside. Edited April 24, 2015 by Gilbert
twistedcrankcammer
Either way it is going to be a HUGE Payday!!! Pound for Pound you have to give Manny a lot of respect!! Roger
Ceptorman
Thanks for adding the comment section. I think Manny is hungrier, more driven. I won't pay to watch it. If you have HBO, there's a live Heavyweight fight Saturday night, Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 kos) against Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10 kos) Klitschko hasn't lost in 11 years. Gilbert
Oh good God.... the Klitschko little brother is still fighting. Man, I've been out of it for a long time, didn't even know he was still putting the gloves on. I'm with you too, and won't being paying to watch Mayweather, but I'll probably seek out a local pool hall or bar that'll show it. For the past 8 or 9 years I've limited my PPV viewing to UFC only. Floyd's a notoriously slow starter against anyone with skill, so I don't see him getting on his game until it's too late and Manny's banked away too many rounds. If Manny loses, it'll be because of his aggression, he's really a fighter who can also box. Edited April 24, 2015 by Gilbert
Ceptorman
Klitschko is 39 years old. The brothers do have an amazing story. They both held heavyweight titles at the same time, but they promised their mother to never fight each other. A few years ago they were a marketing machine. Marvel
Since my wife is a Filipina and we have a LOT of Filipino friends, I'm pretty sure we'll be able to watch... Obviously, we're rooting for Manny. He's really been working for this fight! Bruce
Gilbert
He's really been working for this fight! Amen, Manny's put-up with more excuses and BS from Floyd than a No.1 contender at any weight class should ever have to deal with. I think Manny is going to bloody him up for making him wait so long.
jimjimbo
The last time I paid for a fight on TV was the Tyson/Holyfield ear fest....I won't do that again....I'll wait for a week and watch for free.
rockhound
I really hope manny Knocks Floyd on his a$$ several times. However I don't see it happening, Floyd is smart there is a reason he dodged Manny for as long as he did, Manny isn't the fighter he was 5 years ago.

The Earfest!!! That was a wild one. Yep, lived in Indy at the time, invited my girlfriend (soon to be wife) over for dinner, drinks and a cool event on TV, and all of a sudden, we were watching and it was like....what? What just happened? Did that really happen? Are you kidding? Certainly memorable though, that's for sure.....
Ceptorman
Well Klitchko won last night, 117-110, it went all 12 rounds. His opponent has been fighting for only 6 years, he's 30. Klit is an expert at tying his opponent up, and that's what he did all fight, and was finally penalized a point for it. I thought Jennings did very well, and could be a major contender someday. He reminds me of a more agile Leon Spinks.
Gilbert
He reminds me of a more agile Leon Spinks. was he on coke? heheheheheh Sorry, couldn't resist. I missed the fight, went fishing instead, didn't get home till well after dark, and didn't watch TV. Too busy cleaning fish. I personally can't stand it when one boxer ties up another, the heavy weights generally do this crap the most. To me, it's a sign they're either out of shape, too old and/or out-matched. Lenox Lewis and Holyfield were bad about it. And it's the reason Tyson lost it and bit a piece Holyfield's ear off. I'll never forget that one, Holyfield kept putting all his weight on Tyson, it's almost as if he was too tired or faking it, but when he got bit, he lost it and started stomping his feet. Poor ole Mills Lane, that had to be one of his nastiest fights to call.
Ceptorman
Yea Mills Lane is the best.."let's get it on"!!! I think Klit likes to tie his opponent up as it's his best defense. He seemed to be in great shape, and didn't seem to tire at all. It was actually a boring fight, fishing sounds like more fun.
jimjimbo
So, if this fight goes the way I think it will, there will be some kind of major controversy, either a stoppage in the fight, a ridiculous split decision, or some other crazy azz thing....and then they will start talking rematch so that Mayweather can light a few more cigars with $100 bills.....

derrickdj1
The story behind Manny is a great one and he has been a rock solid champ over the years. The Klitschko brothers are classy champions as well. Vitali is now in politics in his native Ukraine. I am leaning toward a Pacman win.
