coli Posted April 27, 2015 Share Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) I was using a KEF speaker, and while the 280F does not have the magical mids like the KEF, it is better everywhere else. DYNAMICS, clarity (especially highs) I never had this good a mid bass before, not even with subwoofers. Plus it's less than half the price... In hindsight, the KEF had a smeared and lacked hi frequency. Smooth smooth sound partly due to compression... Very magical for vocal and piano pieces though. Overall, the 280F reverb lasts 1-2 second less than the KEF. Some complains though, that recessed terminal makes speaker wire connection needlessly difficult, please make it flat.
