still importing my library, and will probably have a few hours worth of library tweaking..but holy crap this looks to be the software I always wished I had. Kind of a steep per year price, but it's actually the same $9.99 you/we/I spend on Spotify per month. Tidal integration at the start, hopefully other services in the future.

Just got done ripping my 1200+ CD collection to my PC and backed it all up to my external drive about a week ago (what a job that was!) and I have it accessible through my home network to all other PC's, laptops, Xbox 360 and LG smart TV.  How is this software compared to my present arrangement?  Advantages/disadvantages.

Looks interesting! I need to do a bit of CD ripping myself. A long while back, I was super diligent about keeping everything in one spot on my old iTunes folder. Then I got a new computer, the folder got moved to an external drive, I uploaded everything to Google Play, some things are missing somehow, there are doubles and triples of other things, I got an iPad and started buying singles from both Apple and Google... These days, I listen to a lot of CDs just because I always know where they are. There's a lot of cleanup to do that I've just been putting off. So if this can integrate all of those individual messes into one big mess, that'd be great.

I have no idea. I just started importing my library last night.. i believe its purpose is to give you a pleasant cataloguing experience, solid sonic playback, and to help expose more of your library for playback by tying together metadata that you might otherwise not have known about.

I ripped my library onto hard drive about 3 years ago. As I remember, it took about a week, now I have one copy in my computer, one in external hard drive, and another on a hard drive in my safe. Don't even want to have to do that again.

Both. It handles music management and playback, with tight Tidal streaming integration. I'm still tinkering with it and trying to reshape my approach to playback. Each day I'm liking it more and more. The annual price tag is a big pill to swallow (the lifetime license even more so), but it's not unwarranted in light of all the licensed database access they require for the service to work. I just need to decide if it provides enough added value to my system for it to be justified.

Here's a couple of threads on the Computer Audiophile forum, some of which is useful (some of it isn't):

I have been a 'Computer Audiophile' for over 5 years. I have over 1 Terra Byte of Music ripped to a Hard Drive that I most never Play anymore. Mostly because I use Spotify which has over 25 Million Tracks to choose from.  I use a Squeezebox Touch into a DAC. Can you briefly tell me what this service could do for me? IOW ...Is this another streaming service?  or something else entirely ???  I just can't understand exactly what this service would give me.  Can you explain Simply ?
