Would be nice to see some factory non pro speakers on the horizon with horns that big.  At $1800 new, I don't think that price is too bad and I bet the seller would even come off of it some. I wonder what driver is in the mid?

Whoever the guy in Maumelle is, he finds a lot of Klipsch speakers then prices them way above market. I assume he sells them, but they are on the market for a while. The highest I have ever paid for Cornwalls is $375 (I also bought a pair of JBL 4333a for $1250 when i bought those Cornwalls), but they don't come up that cheap very often.

The Maumelle seller appears to be a flipper making a LOT of money if he gets anywhere near his asking price. I have noticed the same seller's ads for a couple of years or so. I don't even read his ads anymore.

I know several flippers in NWA and have done some business with them back and forth. They are much more reasonable in pricing and trading. My speaker swapping days are over, but equipment is still on the radar! Speakers are something I really, really need to thin out!

With most Heritage speakers, location is key due to shipping cost. If you are any where near Little Rock you can make it work. He auditions them for you with nice McIntosh equipment. Not sure why he puts his prices so high, probably scares people away. If it works logistically offer what you think it's worth. I bought Belles from him and never regretted it. (BUT I paid about half what he is currently asking for the set he has now).

I have had two dealings with this man and he is a very good guy. He travels all over the US to pick up speakers and equipment in his truck with a very nice enclosed trailer, he obviously has a good bit of overhead and cant work for free. Some of his finer items may be a little on the high side, but Im sure he is just enjoying them for a while and not in a hurry to move them. I inquired on a specific multi channel McIntosh amp with him, he showed up with one two weeks later (to my shock) in the original box, original manual and even gave me a 60 day warranty. Not a scratch or blemish on it and I paid less than what I have seen them sell for on Ebay not even including the shipping. One of the best McIntosh sales and service outlets has the largest inventory of used items, but their prices are on another planet. They will still deal with you though, and are known to have the best service in the US.  Good food aint cheap and cheap food aint good. Just because someone "steals" a pair of speakers from a poor individual that has no interest or wants them gone and has no idea what they're worth, doesn't mean its where the market is.  And lets be honest, I have tried to sell a few items here well below Ebay prices just to get them out of my closet, but some people just want things given to them.

I have never contacted him due to the high prices he lists on CL so I have no experience in dealing with him. I would always cover my costs, too! If I were still looking for speakers, I would just walk into Speakerworks in Tulsa and get the same items for about half of what he is asking. Klipsch products are always higher in some areas than others. There were a lot of items he lists that I have wanted to look at, but, again the listing prices seemed outa this world to me so I never did. I don't run across fantastic deals very often, but I don't pay more that what I think I can get back (or close to it).

It is a market like any other and everyone is free to sell or buy at the prices they seem fair.

On his ebay listings, the Make Offer option is there along with the higher Buy It Now price.   He doesn't seem to be trying to BS anyone.  I don't blame the guy for starting a bit higher.  It gives him some wiggle room for negotiating a final price.   He seems fair enough and offers very clean gear from what I have seen so far.   The Cornscala B's sell for about $1800 new.   He's asking $1295 but would likely take less.   I'd say at least 10-15% less (maybe more) if gone through CL to save the Epay/PayPal fees.  Is that really that bad of a deal?  The drivers and crossovers alone go for about what he is asking.
