These guys also make interesting horns, which I think have been shown here before.

 

The tube amp uses 6L6 tubes in single ended mode, for abut 8wpc.

The large horns use an Eminence Beta 12CX and APT50. They are also $36k a pair. I'm sure the cost is in all the woodworking... :blink:

Thanks for alerting me to your post Bruce.  It's nice to know that there are designers out there who are more insane than I am!  I'm very skeptical about their claim of 8 watts output from a triode strapped 6L6.  Did you happen to see how much they are asking for it?  I couldn't find a price.

I think this particular one is a "statement" piece that they put together for a travelling show. Their other amps (stereo/mono) for sale are in the multi-thousand $ range.
