richieb
Not in any way an HT guy but for those of you that are a pr of JBL Pro 3677 for $700/pr. Similar in dimension to Cornwall in 2-way configuration, 15in with horn loaded top end. I betcha these will kick butt for $700. Probably wouldn't be bad for 2 channel either in a 2-way CW design. moray james
these have jbl2035 woofers sought after and beyond anything klipsch can sell you in a home loudspeaker. Remember that these speakers are specifically designed to run behind a screen so they will be hot unless you make adjustments to use in front of a screen. http://www.jblpro.com/www/products/cinema-market/3000-series/3677#.VVqGrkY3QT4 http://www.jblpro.com/ProductAttachments/3677SpecSheet.pdf Crossover data http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Theatre%20Series/3677.pdf possible horn lens upgrade to the Eminence H290 horn Edited May 19, 2015 by moray james
Alain C
designed to run behind a screen so they will be hot What do you mean by "hot" (loud maybe?)
moray james
designed to run behind a screen so they will be hot What do you mean by "hot" (loud maybe?) These are pro cinema speakers which have been designed to run behind an acoustically transparent screen so they have to have elevated high frequency levels (run hot) to make up for reflective loss of higher frequencies behind the screen. If you use them in front of a screen then you will need to adjust the horn level or it will be too bright or "hot". Hope that helps.
