Attenuating XO output

some info there what drivers are you wanting to attenuate? I expect this is a mid horn? You have to do some juggling to keep the xover point the same when you change crossover taps on the auto transformer.

I am sure that Bob can help you with your question.

I'll be attenuating a Faital Pro HF200. Used as a full range in a 2-way.

 

I was hoping to avoid changing taps and cap values.

 

Just heard from Bob, a non-inductive resistor in line should drop the level. Just wondering now if I have to make an L-pad and  bridge a restore across the speaker terminals as well...

That might be the best simple solution in your situation.

You might just want to try an LCR network in series with the driver that cuts back the region from 1.5Khz to 5Khz, that may be a better solution.
