Moderators Youthman Posted May 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2015 Man, I thought this was for a pair! Klipsch RB-81 Reference II Bookshelf Speaker $200 http://orlando.craigslist.org/ele/5046070473.html
Shodrewken
For a pair, that would of been a sweet deal!
jjptkd
The RB-81 II's are excellent speakers. I recently bought a pair for my bedroom system and they sound great. I think they are a huge improvement over my old RB-5 II's that they replaced, much more balanced sound overall.
Moderators Youthman Posted May 28, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2015 For a pair, that would of been a sweet deal! That's why I got excited. Would have jumped on that deal in a heartbeat and added them to my office. The RB-81 II's are excellent speakers. I recently bought a pair for my bedroom system and they sound great. I think they are a huge improvement over my old RB-5 II's that they replaced, much more balanced sound overall. I've owned the RB-5 as well as the RB-81ii. Although both sounded good, I much preferred the RB-75. Now those are some killer bookshelf speakers. But for $200...I would have jumped on the RB-81ii. The History Kid
<insert obligatory post about bias opinion of first generation RF line being the best line>
Moderators Youthman Posted May 28, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2015 LOL. Although I believe the RB-75 sounds better than the RB-81ii, the RF-7ii sound better than the first gen RF-7. So it's not about a generation thing...it's about a sound quality thing.
willland
Michael, At first glance I thought the same thing. That's a "flipping" price. Then I actually read the entire ad. I've owned the RB-5 as well as the RB-81ii. Although both sounded good, I much preferred the RB-75. Now those are some killer bookshelf speakers. You got that right. But for $200...I would have jumped on the RB-81ii. You and me both brother. Bill
