ysayers253 Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I just bought the klipsch hd theater SB 3 and after hooking it up I'm noticing a slight cracking/popping when watching tv. Is there a reason this is happening? Is there a way to fix this? If I convert the connection to my tv over to hdmi vs optical will this help? My spidey senses are telling me it's probably an issue with input somewhere, maybe even back to the originating signal. You can try swapping out for hdmi. Let us know. Guest Steven1963 Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Okay, so somewhere around 88-90db compared to the Klipsch which I would guess is going to be around 94-96db sensitivity. I'm still thinking it's not your new center channel but rather it's in the program source or an input upstream. I see you said it was only on T.V. but not on Netflix. This would indicate a source issue. Either the T.V. stations or your receiver - like the Directv box or cable box. The reason you didn't hear it with the Boston Acoustic center is because it wasn't sensitive enough to pick up the sound.
