Emotiva XPA1L Gen 2 for a sub?

First of all, I am all 2.1 channel, or maybe 2.2.  Although I have not yet done a lot of research or decided on a sub for my system, I'm pretty sure I will go with a horn loaded, since I'll mainly be running La Scala's, Belle's, Cornwalls, Chorus II's.  I can get a great deal right now on an Emotiva XPA1L Gen 2 mono block to run the sub, which will be through an Oppo 103.  Any opinions on the Emo?  Should I get two?  (dumb question...)

http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-NU3000DSP-BEHRINGER-iNUKE/dp/B005EHINAS/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1435108572&sr=1-1&keywords=inuke+3000dsp

something like that will run a pair of horns noooooo problem and will allow you to put on a limiter if needed, set a high pass filter, and also apply any dsp needed

Here's my two cents since I have both, emotiva and iNuke amps. I have the iNuke6000dsp amp on 4 18's, and its a beast. The emotiva XPA-7 runs the fronts, center and surrounds. The UPA-700 runs the ceiling speakers. Have never tried to run the subs on the emotivas. The iNuke has the dsp which helps to make adjustments as Scrappy is suggesting.

This would only be for the sub...nothing else
not gonna lie i don't know a single person that runs an emotiva amp like that with a subwoofer. any kind of "traditional" amp with no gain control as a matter of fact.

If I got two, maybe something later, but for now, no
the good thing about the inuke is their price difference between models. 1000 dsp is great for 200 but would only ever run one sub for 80 more you can get the 3000dsp and have the options of running a pair of a big variety of subwoofers.

Thinking about quality
if your thinking a china made emotiva amp is of any higher quality than a china made behringer amp i can assure you they aren't. they are heavier since they are a/b amps and not class d.

possible future utilization....
hence the 3000 watt 2 channel?

What Scrappy said.  Without sub PEQ you can't adjust the FR without buying something else.  Even systems with autocalibration can benefit from an amp with DSP.  As far as quality, I have had some of my I Nukes for three years and would not trade them for a Crown, QSC, ect.  Ihave owned to nice Crowns as a comparison, 1500 and 2500 amp.

Build two Exodus Anarchy subs and you are set!
