A test of what? The ability of the forum website to take polls?

And I believe this will be my 1000th post! Took over 4 years to get here. So I'll be long gone, or a feeble old man drooling into his oatmeal before getting into the Heritage club. Wait a minute I've got a pair of Khorns and a pair of LaScalas, I think I'm already in the club. ;)

Congrats!!!!  I believe I sent you over 1000 e-mails just trying to figure out a pre amp noise didn't I?

I think it was only 999, that's why we didn't fix it. :(

We were THAT close!

Poll maker suggestions:

The most common poll uses a Likert Scale, which usually has 5 choices.

  • Strongly Agree
  • Agree
  • Neutral
  • Disagree
  • Strongly Disagree

And for non-scientific purposes the 6th choice is almost always the catch-all, "Other" with explanation in a post under the thread.

To get meaningful information, try to avoid forced-choice polls which read (for instance) "$1,000 Cables:  Good/Bad"  The last choice is almost always "Other."

To make poll questions less confusing, try to pose the question in a positive way so the answer will agree with the poll question or poll statement.  Try using:

"$1,000 Cables are Good - Yes, No, Other"

instead of

"$1,000 Cables are Not Bad - Yes, No, Other."

This is just a general suggestion to help make the polls helpful or informational.  Really, anything goes.  :)

I like polls, but I take them for what they are, quick snapshots of sentiments from people who post on this Klipsch forum.  Results are not scientific, and I would not generalize our poll results to the entire world.  The Klipsch Community is a very intelligent very tuned-in group of people.  B)
