vondy
There's one near by on Craigslist that seems to be a good price. We're these any good? Would be mostly for movies with my forte 2s. Small to medium sized room. Might try with 2 channel too.
billybob
Pretty decent for music/movies. Two channel too. See if you can demo before purchase as some amp issues. Have 1 of them at the moment. In my limited opinion, that is. and this: http://www.klipsch.com/rw-10d-subwoofer/details Edited July 2, 2015 by billybob
vondy
What would the amp issue be? Totally blown or something I'd have to listen for?
willland
I have owned my RW-10d since 2007 with never an issue, though I have known of some amps failing. It would be a decent sub for HT in a smaller secondary system like in a bedroom, like I have mine. I don't think it will enhance your forte 2's musically at all. vondy
It really would be mostly for movies, I've never had a sub actually. I tend to listen to 2 channel at lower volumes to not wake the kids and wife, thought maybe it would add to that.

I just currently own some very musical subs that are a clear step above the RW-10d. Bill
vondy
I'm not really even in the market for a sub, but it's close by and he wants $150 or best offer. And never having one for movies, might be nice to add to the experience.

My first sub a couple of years ago was the Klipsch RW-12d. It really adds a nice dimension to all my listening and fills out a nice full sound at lower volume levels. I agree, try it and see if you like the sound. At $150 you can get your money back out of it if isn't for you.
CECAA850
Depending on your receiver, you may now be able to hear the LFE channel by adding a sub.
