KP-250 original woofers?

Just purchased a pair of pretty heavily loved KP-250's for less than $200. They sounded good and Supposedly they had all original drivers. Both sets of horns look fine but the woofers are different. Tried looking around here to find a listing or pictures buy cam up dry. Any help on where to look or can anybody tell me? I tried to paste pics here but haven't figured that out either.

One woofer has a stamped frame with a 7 1/2" round 3/4" thick magnet, close to a 3/8" round steel plate on top of the magnet there is a 1" hole in the plate with a metal screen I between the plate and magnet. It's all black with a 1 1/2" 1 1/2" black & foil klipsch sticker on it, almost looks like it was removed from something else and reapplied here. Can't find any other marking except two pieces of old masking tape on the frame one looks like a scribbled out "1" or "T" and then 3012. The other has a 11591. On the back side of the cone there is a stamped number "11049"

The other woofer is a Klipsch Professional K-42-KP, cast iron frame.

No markings in the dust caps of either speaker. Are one of these the original woofers?

Thankz

Rick

Are you looking for an original speaker for your 250?

Klipsch K 42 Woofer

Might be cutting my own throat as I also have a pair of 250's, but I know where one is about 70 miles from me.  It was still there last time I looked.  Been there a long time now.

If you're interested shoot me a PM.  I'll be going back around the end of the month.

Guys,

Thankz for the replies, I bought the pair of KP250 with the understanding that all drivers were original and that the KP250's were similar to the Heresys with factory upgrades for PA or professional use and the woofers were the best cast iron frames. When I got them I could noticeably tell one cabinet was heavier than the other, I pulled a drivers and the mids and highs with horns seemed to be untouched and original. However the woofers were drastically different. One was a stamped frame with a foil type Klipsch sticker on the back that looks like it might of been removed from something else and reapplied there, and with out any other markings except the number printed on the back of the paper cone. The other is a cast iron frame K42-KP Professional speaker.

At this time it seems clear that a "K42" is stock, however there is confusion on my part on K42, K42-K and the K42-KP that I have now. Some have told me that neither woofer is original, others say that the stamped frame is not Klipsch and others say that it could be an older version of a K42. What I would ultimatly like is to have a matched pair of original KP250 Klipsch woofers that are designed for my crossovers.

Is there a forum or link to a cross reference models of drivers and pics for various models of Klipsch units?

Again Thanks All for your replies

Rick
