Moderators dtel Posted July 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) Very cool story and photo about the Woodstock photo. This s hard but for me it would probably be Santana in the 80's in a small theater, no particular song. Or Peter Tosh in the 70's playing for about 100 people in a tiny bar called Ole Man Rivers. Or BB King playing for about 150 people in the 70's at a little place called Rosie's on Tchoupitoulas St by the river................... Ok never mind. Or ANY concert at the Warehouse, it was an unbelievable concert venue. http://blackstrat.net/ Edited July 21, 2015 by dtel
KlipschFish
Sunday night. Key Arena. Seattle. Rush. R40. After all these years.... still amazing and Geddy's voice was as good as Ive heard in 10 years. That show just vaulted to the top.
kapsnb01
Favorite live performance would have to be the Foo Fighters back in the late '90s. They came through town promoting the Colour and Shape album and the show was awesome. They had 2 opening bands that night - the first was called Treble Charger...I never heard from them again, but they put on a great show that night also. Still the benchmark concert for me after nearly 20 years.

KlipschFish
I think I'm going to have a new favorite performance after April 8, 2016. I managed to get tickets for David Gilmour in Chicago. Really excited to see this show because he is only doing four shows in North America. Anyone else here on the forum going? Thanks for the heads up! Now I'm going to maybe have a new best. thebes
Richie Havens, "Freedom" at Woodstock was one of the most powerful moments of my life. You really, really did have to be there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA51wyl-9IE
jimjimbo
Allman Brothers, ELP at August Jam, Charlotte Motor Speedway. August 1974. 17 years old, just before boot camp, my last fling.....Crashed the gate with several thousand others, made my way to the front of the stage.....hitchhiked down from Grand Rapids, Michigan, then after the concert to Washington DC to see a friend and his dad, a newly elected Congressman.
