Enough with the ground transportation, iv had something that flys since i was 10, sometimes it was dads, but still i could log a few hours a month growing up.

Just FINELY gave this Cessna up after having many other things to do in NorCal, for years.

I waited and stored this way to long, cost me 18K in new windscreen/Tires/maint, annual, fresh new radio(s), to make it "Appealing" for sale.....Dam.

That ICON looks pretty darn cool, and inexpensive to fly....... but at $189k and limited load capacity, I just have to go with that Cessna 182T, especially after getting her all gussied up the way you did.

Curious, did the Cessna freshen-up give you a return on investment?

Paperwork states 185SP, sold as a 185SP to a guy that has one.

I did NOT pay $189K, maybe i was one of the early birds.

And i got every option they offered at the time, under contract.

The only stipulation i made a clause for was, if they have an engine upgrade by production time, i will pay.

Was really hoping for my first turbine.

Ah, now i see what your talking about, wrong pic, i dont have many of Dads plane, the few i do have was when it was new, and in one of my Nav forums, i just clicked it and did not even look, i grew up a piper/mooney kid.

'03 Acura TL-Type S in White Diamond Pearl- no pick right now but with only 63k and still a daily driver.

Just bought my sisters 02 Acura Legend for my daughter 1st car when she turns 16 this week.

I find the Acura to be a very well made and dependable car.

Roger

I can attest to that. The original battery lasted 9-years and never left me stranded for any reason.

My Dad had a Piper Cherokee when I was growing up. We lived about 3 blocks from the airport, and some weeks we would fly every day. I miss that plane.

My first car, I got in '65. This isn't a pic of mine, but what I drove for a few years. A 1956 English Ford Prefect. It had a 3 speed on the floor and would only get up to 55mph or so. That was going downhill!

1972 Satellite Sebring Plus

1972SatelliteSebringPlus.jpg

Many years ago we had in our family a 72' Roadrunner in Violet Purple. Pistol grip 4-Speed 383 Magnum bored .030 over, Holly 750 dbl. pumper, headers, Thrush mufflers, some outrageous cam and pistons, etc...............but no radio.....couldn't hear it anyway. ;)

But it was on the list of our local police dept. to "harass this car".

Very similar to this one:

  • 9 months later...

After many years of dreaming, I finally picked up the car I've always wanted, but for one reason or another, never obtained. I've had 2nd and 3rd generation stangs along the way, but the fastback had yet to make it to the stable... until last Friday that is.

'67 Ford Mustang Fastback

302 from a donor late model

Paxton Novi 1500

5 speed

Needs clutch and tranny work, some electrical and all interior and trim done, but I needed a little project to stay outta the wife's hair anyway.

Wife approval... Check.

His and her stangs... Check.

Mid-life crisis aversion... Check.

What options does your 67 have?

You need a Cammer in that car!

The best option was the pretty blonde in the drivers seat (the wife) :D. Course, she'll spend most of her time in the passenger seat if I have my way.  She's got her own pony.

The decoder plate on the door is long gone, as the door isn't original, so unless I cough up $200 for a Martini report, I really wouldn't know.

Motor is stock from a '94 mustang according to the seller.  It has an 8" rear end with 3.73 gears, and he included a new 4.11, but I think I'll stick with the 3.73.

Once I recover a bit financially from the initial purchase, I do plan on dropping in a Tremec TKO 500, and a maybe new motor.  I was contemplating a 347 stroker or Coyote down the road, but this motor has plenty of life left, and there is a few things I would like to do suspension wise first (coil over 4-link rear and rack and a Mustang II front end).

Another cool thing that was included with the car is the original owners manual.  Car was built in Jersey and sold in Jacksonville.  It made its way to San Diego in 1969 where it's been ever since.  I am the 4th owner.

Just for the heck of it, look under the back seat for the original build sheet. That would be a nice treasure.
