So a lady at my church just gave me these speakers last week. I don't know much about klipsch, but seems like they might have some value.. I haven't hooked them up to anything yet, but they seem to be in really good shape cosmetically. Assuming they work, what do I have here?

Well, the "value" is up to you, as to whether you want to keep them or not, but, you got a couple of pretty cool speakers!!  Considering their excellent cosmetics, personally I wouldn't hesitate having them inside my home.  Hook them up, play a selection of different types of music at moderate levels, and see what you think.  I have a feeling you're going to like them....let us know.

What you have there are Professional versions of Klipsch Heresy's with the fiberglass and aluminum trim from the 80's.  The woofer is very stout and similar to those use for guitars which gives them higher power handling.  The balance of the components are the same as a standard Heresy.  The HIE network has some additional safety components in it.  Best suited for PA use since the bass response rolls off quickly below 100Hz, they are very efficient and rugged.  They would work well in a home setting with a very capable subwoofer.   I have always wanted a pair.

Well, I got home and hooked them up and I must admit they sound amazing!! And that nice sub I mentioned I have just happens to be a klipsch t2a 250v.. sounds great with them. Also using a Polk audio center speaker with them. . Running it with an onkyo TX-sr504. I'm super impressed!! Not bad for someone just giving them to me! :)

I'm not sure the dollar value, but they are not as desirable to the general population because they are not home speakers, and would not fit in with the decor of most living rooms.  My wife would kick me to the curb if I brought those home!

That being said, there is a group who do like the industrial look, but it is a niche population.  To be honest, I would think you would have the best chance of selling them on this website because there are people here who appreciate that cabinet style.

I will also offer that selling to nearly any of the people who dwell here are a safe bet, meaning they are safe to do business with.  And if you needed references, I bet they could provide them.  I hate buying or selling on CL and Ebay because of the safety factor alone  Trust is worth something, at least to me.

Very nice! If you were closer to me I'd offer you $400 cash for them right now. Hopefully you keep them as they are hard to find if you're looking for them, especially in nice condition. Congrats on the score!
