These things are big

More like medium size, :P what is that under the 402 ?

Looks like a cross between a LaScala and a baby mwm.

Custom Belle-bottoms. Over built the outter baffle, added braces, and alerted the joinery at the front slightly.

Bass reflex bins are in the shop waiting for port tubes...

The 402s are really putting on a show here tonight. Soundstage and placement is mind bending.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Horns are honky and we don't want the 402 to get the reputation that it's a good sounding horn.

Glad you like them, I agree.

People see the size and think loud, any speaker can go loud but don't know of another one that can sound like that.

So many people even professional reviews make way too many judgements with their eyes: yeah, horns honk. And change the material of a cartridge body to wood, and all of a sudden it's 'warm and natural' sounding. Metal done tweeters are 'cold and hard'.

I closed my eyes you two hours last night and 'watched' the music move around the room.

Vancouver is a nice city, have been downtown a few times, last time in 2000.  I lived in Philadelphia, not so nice, but moved to the burbs.  Homes here can also hit those levels.  There are mortgages for appropriate purchased homes , which if you consider all the things people borrow money for...  when purchased correctly homes tend to work out financially at least in the US.  Best of luck.  Cheers.
