Jim
If anyone is interested, I have a bunch of Spanish music I just aquired. I am going through it now and will be looking to get rid of the stuff I don't like. I'm trying to expand my music some. Most of the records are from the early to mid 1970's, and some may be the early 80's. If interested, let me know and I can make a list and PM you. I'm not looking to sell them for much if anything, just shipping.
thebes
Hey Jim, Spanish music covers a lot of territory. Are these musica populare or flamenco from Spain, perhaps bossa nova from Brazil (which is actually Portuguese), or some mariachi music from Mexico, or Tango from Argentina? Give yourself a treat and work your way through them. You might be surprised. After all I'm pretty sure that Spanish invented the guitar. jimjimbo
After all I'm pretty sure that Spanish invented the guitar. Would that be Henry or Edgar Spanish?
thebes
I'm pretty sure those guys invented Spanglish. Or was it Hip Hop? Nope. Nope. That was done by Hopalong Cassidy.

BigStewMan
fter all I'm pretty sure that Spanish invented the guitar. Actually, Mrs. Spanish invented it; but, she left it on the counter and he took credit for it the next day. Yes, I’ll shut up now.
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted July 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2015 Lute is from Spain? Any Segovia in there?
Jim
thebes, I am going through them one by one and listening to them. I'm not fluent with the artists, but it is mostly 70's stuff and a lot of the "love song" (musica populare) type as well as Salsa, orchestral, and Latin Jazz. I'm more into Latin Jazz,Flamenco, and Salsa than the others, so they are the ones that will go. I should be done with everything by about Saturday. thebes
Sounds like you've got the plan. I also tend towards the flamenco and Latin jazz, but if you've got some Segovia in there you'll enjoy him.
