What stands recommended for RP-160M?

One or two cinder blocks covered with a decorative cloth can make an excellent stand.  They are non-resonant and exceedingly inexpensive!

Oh, that's just great Maynard.

They were a dollar a piece, but now that word has gotten out that they have your recommendation, demand will surely skyrocket, supply will shrink and I look for the price to double in a month or so.

Next time take that to email, so the rest of us can scoop up the remaining cinder blocks before prices rise.

I'm headed to my all-night Lowes now, so I can get my Maynard endorsed speaker stands before they're all gone.

Edit:  I almost forgot to mention, I also have a pair of VTI speaker stands, 18".  They look super, are very stable and are as trick as a brick.

Pic:  The edge of the table is 33", ear height while sitting down.  Sub is a Klipsch RW-12d.  When I play things just a tad too loud, the grill gets blown off the sub.

Dave, a good idea is a good idea!  In response to my post above, a popular online audio retailer which sells magic cable trestles, mpingo discs, and other exotica is now selling cinder block speaker stands treated with their proprietary "magic magnetic and electrical field cancelling spray" for only $500/pair.   It is guaranteed to lower bass response to 5 Hz with any speaker, eliminating the need for a sub, or your money back!  I should ask them for a commission.....

Agree!  We are joking of course, but remember Pet Rocks?  Dumber ideas than this have made people millionaires.

I just wish I had thought of it.
