nobi125 Posted August 28, 2015 Share Posted August 28, 2015 I bought these speakers about 5 years ago and now they're having an issue where the sound is faint and garbled and turning up the volume does not increase the sound. It's intermittent. Turning the system on and off a couple times or unplugging and re-seating the DIN plug from the control pod would fix it for a day or two. While the issue is happening, if I turn the speakers off, normal sound will return for a couple seconds as the system loses power.I searched around and discovered that replacing the control pod could solve this issue (though my control pod already had the newer styled right angle DIN plug). I went ahead and spent the $25 or whatever it was to get a new one and the issue seemed to go away for a few days, but now it's back, however it's not happening as frequently as before.Additionally, about a year ago the sub would stop working at times, but that problem went away after I unplugged everything and reseated the fuse. Not sure if related.What else do I need to replace? I'm a generally technical guy, but I've never replaced resistors and small components like that.
