teaman
Hi guys, can anyone help me ID these? I searched the Klipsch site and even Googled the item numbers....no luck as to specs or components. I would love your input as I may pick these up! KPT-456-N-LF Speakers with KPT-456-N-HF Horn Thanks, Tim

teaman
How does $800 a pair sound for these?
jimjimbo
I am pretty damn sure that i'd pay $800 just to hook them up and see what they sounded like. If they are local, and you are able to audition and check out drivers, I say do it.

teaman
Has anyone heard these? I realize they are pro speakers but I am wondering how these would pair with an Emotiva amp with 300 wpc.
teaman
Anyone familiar with these crossovers? The seller has no idea if they work, or how they set up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tim

teaman
Not sure if they are original to the speakers, they don't look the part. They are however the crossovers being used with them with the pairing of 456's I am looking at.
TasDom
I had some KP450's which are almost identical in looks to those 456's. Here's the network out of the LF bin which looks like the one on the right that you posted. Trying to find a pic of the HF network but for now...... Here's the KP450's
teaman
Thanks Tasdom, looks like the same set up so they should be okay. If you can dig up the HF crossover I appreciate the pics. Since you have owned the 450's can you let me know what you think of them for two channel? I was looking at running them with an Emotiva XPA-2 power amp that puts out 300 wpc@ 8ohms. I know these beasts probably crave power but since they are so sensitive I figure they might work out okay. I would love to hear what your thoughts are! TasDom
They were awesome but just nowhere in my house to make the most of them. When I was running them they were hooked up to an XPA5. I never realized the fuses that came with them were too low and kept blowing. The current owner Roger (twistedcrankcammer) made me aware of that. Here's the only pic I think I have of the HF network And the terminal cups: HF Inside Outside LF Outside
teaman
Interesting.....I have never dealt with these types of crossovers where the HF and LF are on separate boards. My Gen 1 Heresies have the Type AA combined LF/HF on one board. How do you run them from each speaker, yet in unison? Sorry iif this is a stupid question, I'm green here...
