forestelder
Hi Guys I live next to a road. My question: lets say Audyssey is testing my 4th speaker ( right surround ), and at the same time a motorcycle is passing my house, must i start the auto calibration all over again, because of the motorcycle noise? I red the ambient noise must be as quiet as possible or it can mess up the measurements. Greetings
garyrc
Technically, Audyssey is supposed to start over with louder "pings" if the room has too much noise. The trouble with a motorcycle or a big truck is that they may approach, pass, and leave in the middle of a single set of pings. I don't know what Audyssey does under those circumstances. I like to run Audyssey when the house is quiet, because it makes me feel better. Do you live in a house or an apartment? Can you run Audyssey in the middle of the night?
