matts6887
I am getting a high pitched noise every time I turn on my control pod for my klipsch promedia ultra 5.1 speaker setup. I just updated my sound card drivers thinking that was the issue but no its not. I am not getting audio from my 2 front speakers or my center speaker. Does this sound like a amp issue, a control pod issue or something else? I just had a part of the amp repaired last year to the tune of 80 bucks because I do not have the soldering skills etc. nor the steady hands to do it and wondered if its possible that another part of the amp has gone bad again and that it needs repair? matts6887
can anyone out there help me out with this? I sent my volume control pod for the 5.1 promedia system to a authorized service center for klipsch and I was gonna have them look at it but the owner told me to to try disconnecting the 3 cables(center/sub, left, right, etc) and see if i get the high pitched noise to stop. Well i did that; I disconnected all 3 and I still got the high pitched noise even with the 3 cables disconnected. So Im not sure if its the control pod itself or if its the amp. I did take the amp to a guy down the street who repaired this amp before for me to have him look at it but he said he could not find anything wrong other than maybe the inside of the control pod being dirty so I believe he took it apart and cleaned it out etc. But that did not seem to get rid of the noise. So does anyone out there know if this is a amp issue or something else? Please help me out here as its driving me nuts and I just want to try and get rid of this issue. Thanks Matt
