Islander
To be honest, most home invasions in Canada are not like this particular one. http://www.calgarysun.com/2015/09/29/man-breaks-into-bc-home-feeds-cats-does-laundry-writes-in-diary

JL Sargent
If my wife had gotten wind of him doing all those chores around here he would have been given a place at the supper table.

jimjimbo
"The woods are a good place, there are a lot of fish out there." Man, this dude doesn't have all of his oars in the water! Roger I know what you mean Roger but "the woods" means different things to you and I and those that live in remote locations in the north....I have heard that before, and it sounded funny, but then came to know that it included lakes, rivers, streams, etc. The fact that he actually made an entry in their diary is what got me....
Islander
It looks like the authorities realized he was a harmless type. The story reminded me of the Korean movie 3-Iron, in which a guy moves into temporarily vacant homes and does minor repairs while he's there. He moves into one particular house, but it's not empty. The abused housewife is there. They start an odd relationship, in which he moves carefully and manages to seem invisible. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-S5n0JniDw
Wolfbane
If my wife had gotten wind of him doing all those chores around here he would have been given a place at the supper table. Would she have to add one or just give him yours?

Little to no chance of getting shot by a homeowner for making like Goldilocks.
