Where would you put the Atmos ceiling speakers if you were starting with 2 speakers, and later going to 4?

A1 is pretty much lined up to where the speakers are behind the couch.

A2 would be about 2' in front of the front row.

A3 would be about 6' in front of the front row.

I was thinking of A1 and either A2 or A3, but I am not sure which would be best. I don't want to have to drill holes in the ceiling (sealed room with in a room construction) to get the best location.

Should A1 be the location for only 2 Atmos channels?

I have 6 Acoustic Panels on the ceiling that I have accounted for with my measurements.

I think A3 would be where I start as that is Front Height Channels (Dolby Atmos, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, DTS Neo:X and Audyssey).  Then A1.  I think some are pushing the front wides as well.  Maybe something to consider.

I have no way to go with wides as my Left and right are already all the way over to the walls.

I think with two rows of seating with four in-ceiling speakers, only one row will get the best placement, of course unless your pre/pro can decode more than four. I have mine laid out just as the Dolby Atmos guide suggests for 7.1.4, but I have just one row of seating. Hopefully Nismo and or Jay will give their thoughts/ advice as they are both way more knowledgeable than I am on this subject.
