I'm submitting this thread to have a progress log of Jamboree bass-bin. the first single cabinet is a try I still don't know if my way of building it will result good or not. probably does. I'm gonna use MDF for the first sample. sure the final will be BB plywood. it's just a prototype. here are two pictures of cuts we did today:

Good to see, I am working on my second one as well.  The other day I started with the top panel, I found it to be slightly smaller than the first one I did, I guess I need to get better at measuring twice and cutting once.   But there were other issues with the first one as well so it may be that the second one I just did is right, I still need to double check.   One thing I am going to try is, cutting access panels in the top and bottom so I could permanently attach the front panel and veneer it.  It may be tough to get the driver down in there and screw it in, but hey I am willing to give it a try.

If you could post any indifference in the plans vs actual dimensions of the the pieces you cut.  I found I had to make some changes on the fly, again it could have been my bad measuring.  Good luck on the build, you are all ready off to a good start.

actually yes the numbers in the plan doesn't come along with each other by default. I had to make minor changes within 1-2mm tolerance. you'd better redraw the plan in Coreldraw at first.

I'm still looking for a way to have no screws on the front panel.

I notice a difference here on yours, did you redesign it.  As my plans show spacers in between each horn section.  I would think that removing that spacer would create a difference in the throat section(maybe throat section isn't correct term).  There would be a 3/4" difference if so, now from what I understand horns are more forgiving with designs so this may not matter.  I am interested in your thought on all of that.

I hope mine will come out as nice as all of yours guys. Very helpfull all the pictures. Got the horns and drivera for the mids and high. Still not decided wich bass drivers to use.

Question, wich crossover do you all use?

I used the 500/5000 Crites cornscalas crossover. Love the sound but don't know which mid or tweeter you are using. I used the top hat from some cornscalas I had and have been very pleased. The Dayton drivers I used would probably sound even better if I crossed them a little higher (600hz)?? Going to try one day and see, for now just loving the sound.

I have fc260 horns from Greg, wit de750tn drivers. Tweeters are beyma cp25.

Would the ap12-500 be a option? (+ap15)

I spoke with Al before on this and he had told me it would.  If I were you I would give him a call just to verify, but I don't see why it wouldn't.  I have been using a minidsp with great results, I am looking to upgrade to one of the higher end EV models when all said and done.

Good luck on the build and remember to post pictures, we like pictures.

Contacted Al about the networks. His reply was that he does not have a suitable network for the Jamboree.

Since a crossover always is designed for a specific speaker/ set of drivers i can only agree....

Maybe i still try the universal or ap12.
