FS: Eliptrac 400 pair

Recommended Posts

Those look great! I looked up the DIY kit a while back and the price you are offering is easily worth the hours of sanding these look like they require. The OPs look so clean and professional its easy to forget what it takes to put these together.

At one time I thought about the bigger eliptarc 240's for myself instead of k402's , but after completing this kit I'm glad I went with the 402's. The sanding involved just takes way to much time and this is coming from someone that's hobby is woodworking. Unless someone is dead set on the kit spend the extra and buy them from dave completed. I probably have 15 hours in the kit between building, sanding, sanding, more sanding and painting..

Hi,

Have you any idea what additional items are necessary to purchase in addition to these to make them work in a stock Klipschorn?

Seems to me that a throat adapter and a new grille/cover are in line to do so BUT I don't know. Do you?

Thank you.

The horns are the stock eliptrac 400's which are  setup for 2 inch drivers. I know dave sells 1 inch adapters for k55's. You can find them here

http://www.fastlaneaudio.com/eliptrac.html

As far as making them work in a stock khorn you would need the adapters, make some new grill covers and some crossover work.

You did a really nice job.

If anyone is considering Eliptrac 400's here is perfect opportunity to get a bargain pair quick. I usually have a 3-4 week back log.

Do these only fit Klipschorns without modification?

These fit Khorn with a replacement grill assy.

They will also fit Cornwall 1, but requires cutting and a B&C DE-85TN driver.
