Horn Loaded (Tuba) Subs....

SWL

Recommended Posts

Now that you've fixed the DIP switches. Go back and set the low pass to 35Hz and bump the the amp back up +12 dB.

You'll crap your pants the first time you feel that shock wave rip across the floor.

Impressive. However, I still prefer cutting them off up in in the 90-100hz range. That clean 'punch' is what has me hooked. Very musical.

As far as the deep stuff, I don't know. The SVS PB-12 Ultra/2 was amazing in that regard. It would pressurize the room, buckle the floor and raise the couch (felt like it) like no other sub I ever had. Combined with another PB-12 Plus/2, two RSW-15's and two 15" Velodynes it was one heck of an experience.

....but the musicality of these horn subs is something I've never had before.

I have a regular THT and I'm good down to 15hz in my 4500 cu ft basement.

That is a big room for one sub. If you teeth are rattling then it sounds like enough! :D
It is. Which is exactly why I went away from sealed and ported subs. Not enough output. Working to get a second THT. Should meet all my bass needs.

Have a friend who use to have 2 Ghorns and 2 Othorns in a room half the size of my basement, maybe smaller. Holy crap!!! He sold his 2 Ghorns and is building 4 dual opposed 21". Yes, 8 21" to go with the Othorn. Which, also have a 21" driver. Can't wait to experience that.

That's what I'm talkin about. How does it sound?

Unbelievable. It's kinda of ridiculous how much bass those mains put out when he runs them full range.

They are really clean also. Just an amazing sound.

Just copy & paste the IMG from photobucket to wherever you want your image to show.

Guess i could be more specific.

Hover your cursor over the IMG click it and it changes color then right click and choose copy, go to where you want your picture located then right click & choose paste.

That must be the most badass 12" of all time. OF ALL TIME! ;)

It's a bad boy for sure but technically it's a dual 12.

That's what I've been doing and the Klipsch forum won't allow it to be posted.

What exactly is it doing ?

When I try to post it on the Klipsch forum.....the Klipsch forum responds by saying I can't post that type of image/info or something along those lines. I can't remember the exact wording.

I actually got it to work once bit I deleted it because it had my whole Photobucket album available to the Klipsch forum. Even though I am a porn star on the side I didn't think it would be appropriate here.
