DizRotus Posted November 17, 2015 Share Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Finally lashed up a set of "balanced" Klipsch S4 IEMs to better experience Pono's differential (balanced) output. I like it. But is it real or placebo effect? I shall try to scientifically answer that question. To be able to use the modified phones with single-ended sources, such as phone, iPad and the like, I created the adaptor shown. With that, I plan to have my son switch from balanced to single-ended behind my back to see if I can actually differentiate between the two at a rate better than chance. I'll report the results.
