The Dude
I am looking for some ideas how to build a better preamp chassis for this preamp. I was thinking something like the Bottlehead look, maybe even a different aluminum chassis. But one of the issues I am seeing is how to mount the tube sockets. If I don't get something tall enough, I would have to mount the sockets on top or cut a hole for the tubes to stick out. Here is what it currently looks like. I have some 1/8" thick aluminum panels I could cut to size, with some wood I think it would look nice. Maybe an aluminum divider between the power supply and the rest of the pre. Schu
Is there a sonic difference between the tordial and the more traditional iron?
Schu
Just wondering because so much is said about using "good iron"

The Dude
I have an idea, it won't be anything new to most, but for me it might be more appealing.
