Wolfbane
I'm thinking of having my 1980 circa Oak Belles refinished with another hardwood like Rosewood etc.. Can anyone tell me where the best place to acquire a sufficient quantity and quality of veneer can be found? I'm not sure how much to expect to pay for the veneer and what quantity is required to ensure I don't run out.
Jim
If you like this, let me know, I can give you the information on who sells it. I got it on Ebay. $150.00 for 2 sheets measuring 24x96 for each sheet.I'd say you may need 3 sheets total, with no backing. I then purchased the edgebanding for $30.00. Were you able to have a matching grain pattern where both speakers matched across the tops and sides, also how did they ship the veneer and did it arrive fully intact? Jim
The seller is JSOWOODPRODUCTS. http://www.ebay.com/usr/jsowoodproducts?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754 The sheets are identical, and they shipped rolled in a box. They came fully intact as well.

USNRET
If I remember correctly this was $200 + per sheet and it took one sheet per speaker just for the veneer. Ordered thru a vendor in Houston from a mill in the Carolina's that did mirroring by a member that did the woodwork for me.

ryanm84
Like Jim, I've purchased all my veneer from JSO off eBay.. My walnut used on my corns was very figured and awesome to work with. It was backed which I would prefer, but I believe they sell some unbacked items too. And they have 4x10 and 4x12 rolls as well.
