What do you mean by eating bad? What did you eat?

I believe my tinnitus is set off my many different things or combinations of things.

#1: The more I weigh, the more they ring in general. Lose 30 lbs and ringing just about goes away.

#2: Eating a big fried meal can set them off bad, plus I feel like crap. Yesterday I had fried catfish and fries for lunch. Don't do that.

#3: A visit to the Chinese restaurant always sets them off and I suspect its the MSG in their food.

So, in summary, it seems I can control my tinnitus to a degree with my life style choices. I need to make better choices everyday.

For many years I have worked in loud environments, and, when there, 90 + % of the time, I am wearing eye and ear protection.

Tinnitus is like herpes, once you have it, tinnitus is very difficult to get rid of or, impossible.  The old inner ear bones don't move as free just as some of the joints.  This makes them easier to injure along with other things not functioning like they did when you were twenty.  Old age is a monster in spite of how hard we try to fight it.

I have it to.  For me, my biggest problem is that I clench my teeth.  Especially, when I'm sleeping.  Some mornings I'll wake up and the ringing is pretty bad and my teeth will actually be sore.  Have been trying to focus on not doing it, but it's such a pattern it's hard to break.
