K-77 horn lens separation

Recommended Posts

Can the 77 horn lens be safely separated from the driver by simply removing the four screws?  Want to paint the lenses but only if I can remove them with out the possibility of damaging the delicates.

Normally the lens is bolted on to the driver and is removable, at least on the newer ones.  Are there 3 or 4 bolts on the lens side?

They are made of metal, Carl :emotion-21:

Then you're good to go.  Promise me you won't paint them pink then.

The horns will come off, but the whole assembly, magnet, diaphragm and all are apt to fall apart in your hands.  The screws hold it all together.
