willland
Can anyone with experience with Klipschorns in HT setup with non-horn loaded subwoofers help this guy out? https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/horn-speakers-and-sub-woofers Horn Speakers and Sub Woofers How difficult is it to mate conventional subwoofers with horn speakers, in particular Klipschorns. I'm moving my 1987 Khorns to the large living room for a 'home theater' setup. (I have two good corners for the Khorns). I am thinking of adding one or two medium sized Rel subs to the setup to use for movies. Have you tried subs with Horns or corner horns? stickman45101-07-2016 8:42pm Bill

derrickdj1
It should not be all that difficult, the physics is still the same. He should come to our forum.

I agree but maybe someone with some knowledge of the combination can answer him over there and then invite him over for more discussion. klipschguy76
If you are ever going to add a/multiple sub woofers with k-horns,I hear the rule is to never go with a smaller woofer size in the sub,as in the main speakers. I recommend going with a really nice klipsch dual 12' sub,or that very powerful 15' with the 15' radiator sub klipsch only produced in 2002 I believe. That sub has a rating of 2800 watts I believe..?? It has been a while since I owned one,but let me tell you that this sub is the baddest home stereo powered sub I have ever heard! I had just the one sub,(it had a 15' copper colored sub on each end,and I was powering a set of lascalla's with a adcom gfa 555,and a pair of cornwall 1's upgraded with bob crites everything, with the old adcom 565 mono blocks, and 565 adcom pre amp, that had the see through cover. That was my favorite system, and without that sub,it was like night and day!!
Bossman
I would recommend a good sub woofer with a lot of power and can go low to the mid 30's. That will bring the Khorns to life.
