wvu80
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ EDIT: Super Bowl talk starts with Post 99. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Am I the only one who saw Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary toss at the end of regulation? Prayers do get answered. UN-believable! +++ Edit: And THEN Larry Fitzgerald's 75 yard catch and run to the 5 in OT? Then he catches the game winning pass in OT? 26-20, Cardinals win! ZEUS121996
I predict Rodgers marries his personal secretary and enjoys his summer on his honeymoon. ZEUS121996
Now he's crying about the coin toss in overtime. F*CK OFF, you won games on hail marys and tied it on one again. Then poor coverage cost you the game STFU Mark

wvu80
Now he's crying about the coin toss in overtime. I didn't understand any of what happened. I saw that interview live on ESPN. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/14587101/green-bay-packers-left-scratching-heads-coin-toss-catch-ruling-loss-arizona-cardinals Rodgers was talking about the coin didn't do something on the toss, and then when the ref picked it up and re-tossed it, he didn't get a chance to "re-call" his choice of heads or tails? I haven't seen any of the sports opinionators yet this morning on ESPN, but was this controversial? Did anybody other than Rodgers think this was a problem? I'm not sure what the ref did, what the coin did, or why Rodgers would bring any of that up? Edited January 17, 2016 by wvu80
Ceptorman
I like the Packers, but I'm glad the Cardinals won, new blood. That was a great game, no cheap shots from thugs, even opposing players helping others up! I'm afraid the Patriots are on their way to another SB, they just have too many offensive targets, the best OL in the league, and Brady with unlimited time to throw. Hopefully the Broncos win which puts the Patriots on the road. I think the Panthers/Seahawks game will be interesting, a touchdown fest. JJkizak
I'm just happy with the annual Browns coaching changes. Then the draft. Season is now complete. JJK
SWL
To be clear, I'm a Bear fan through and through.... but someone tell me how these overtime rules make any sense? One team scores and that's it? Why wouldn't the other team get a chance to score? If this was my team I'd be livid. Why were the overtime rules changed anyway? Go back to the way it used to be. Seems to make a hell of a lot more sense and its fair to both teams. Would someone care to enlighten me? Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk The new rules are a little more fair than they used to be, but still not completely fair yet. Previously, a team could win if they scored a field goal first. Now if you score a field goal in overtime, the other team gets a chance to score, if the other team scores a field goal, it is a tie, then the next score wins. But if the second team scores a TD, they win. The confusing part is if a team scores a TD first, it's over, they win. The second team doesn't get a chance to score. I think they need to change that rule. If a team scores a TD first, the other team should get a shot at a TD.

I just shake my head that the league would come to the conclusion that these would be fair rules. I'm for the Packers or any other team that would end up losing this way and I'm not talking about the whole coin toss thing. For crying out loud, play another quarter and if it's still tied....play another. Same rules, everything stays the same. Maybe the quarter doesn't have to be an entire 15 minutes, maybe just 10....I don't know, but both teams should have a chance to score.

Ceptorman
It looks like the Seahawks have come up against a chainsaw today. The Panthers have totally dominated this game so far…21-0 barely into the 2nd quarter, and the Panthers are about to score again. These boys are fired up! JL Sargent
Once there was a Russell Wilson, now we have a Cam Newton! Geeze Seattle, get off the bus! Already down 31 to Cam and company. It's not even half time yet! Who was it here that said Seattle would handle Panthers? I don't think so. wvu80
For crying out loud, play another quarter and if it's still tied....play another. When they put me in charge I'm implementing each side gets a chance at the ball, period. If tied, sudden death after that. +++ Edit: Carolina up by 7 will win, a minute 12 to go. Onside kick coming up. +++ I might as well stay with my other (wrong) picks. I also picked Kansas City and Seahawks. My Steelers are up next and I picked them to win, but with their injuries at the offensive skill positions, I don't see any way.
