jason str
Trying to help fund one of my projects. Crossovers are clean as they came from a sealed Heresy cabinet, caps are just a couple months old and used less than 1 hour. Pictures coming soon. $75 + actual shipping cost. Local pickup is fine, shipped items will be double boxed to assure safe delivery. Edited January 19, 2016 by jason str

wvu80
I've never seen a naked Heresy XO before. That is a very simple crossover for a 3-way.
jason str
Yes, here is the schematic. Link The old oil capacitors sounded like crap, these brought a nice sound back to the old Heresy's.
fromnowon
I wonder if these are the capacitors used for this Type E upgrade. Thanks for any comments. Dayton Audio PMPC-2.0 2.0uF 250V Precision Audio Capacitor Part # 027-214 https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-pmpc-20-20uf-250v-precision-audio-capacitor--027-214 I don't know what to do with my Heresy I's to improve the sound - I've read and researched until I have a headache, but these caps are only $2.41 ea so what the heck? Seems worth a try if this is the correct one. Thanks.

fromnowon
Thanks - I'm glad I saw your post. Good luck selling your Type E's. I'm going to give this a try! My Heresy's are original everything and they just don't sound like they should. seems like all I'm hearing is the squaker. I hope it's b/c those oil cans are 40 years old. mustang guy
GL with sale. FYI, there are 3 Heresy cabinet only pairs for sale on ebay right now. The cheapest set is $50 I think. These networks would be perfect if somebody wanted to make a Heresy out of parts. Although you should use the Heresy horns, the diaphragms and the woofer can be changed in them to yield a great speaker. Here are the cabs: walnut oiled: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Heresy-Empty-Cabinets-Enclosures-PAIR-2-Good-Condition-/272211124814?hash=item3f610c224e:g:Q98AAOSwUUdXDp41 in MD black: http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-HERESY-Vintage-Speakers-CABINETS-ONLY-1974-SN-11M598-7-11M600-/252348949182?hash=item3ac12b62be:g:-IEAAOSwAvJXCBHD in VA walnut oiled: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Cabinets-Klipsch-Heresy-Vintage-consecutive-Serial-numbers-/131778199407?hash=item1eae97bf6f:g:EOIAAOSwGYVXC7rA in IL Edited April 17, 2016 by mustang guy
fromnowon
Yes, here is the schematic. Link The old oil capacitors sounded like crap, these brought a nice sound back to the old Heresy's. This schematic shows the K-22-E at 11 ohms. I'm sure it's 8 ohms, isn't it? Sorry I know this is the wrong forum!
mustang guy
The DCR for the K-22E is supposed to be 6.8 Ohms. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/149779-klipsch-woofer-thielesmall-parameters-v21/
