oldred
Right now the Marantz is the favorite preprocessor. I like my Integra 80.3. Sounds like you gave a powerful amp....(never heard of them till now) (couldn't find full specs) So check out Accessories4less for a good price on preprocessor. etc6849
The Marantz isn't bad. I sold my Marantz AV8801 and replaced it with an Emotiva XMC-1 made in Tennessee (built and designed at their facility). If you want "the best" stereo and 7.2 sound, the XMC-1 is it for anything under $10k. No extra features though like the Marantz such as Dolby Atmos, etc.. just sound on par with Datastat, Anthem and other really expensive gear. doc1623
I'm looking @ older stuff right now. found some with the xlr connections that would work with the amp. Right now... I see a Krell showcase vs. Anthem D1.. any preferences? I'll look @ Marnantz but ..I'm way under 10K try under 1k
oldred
You are correct.... The XMC-1 is another good choice. The fact that it is made in the USA. A definite plus. G.E.M
CECAA850
... I see a Krell showcase vs. Anthem D1.. any preferences? I've never heard the Krell, but I've got a D2 and the Anthem stuff is really nice. I also have an Anthem 2 channel pre-amp and it's one of my favorite pieces of gear. Schu
I hated my emo... it was a umc though. Unimpressive, unlike what many would have you think. Edited January 22, 2016 by Schu

It's pro-audio stuffs and I've got to search for a manual. I'm not even sure what the switches are for! but looking forward to figuring it out (aka playing )
