Huxley didn't catch my eye too much.  I was guessing what the word after "Peter" was in the book toward the back.  It made me think of the "Peter Principle."

After some more searching, I think just maybe I will back off my search.

More $$$$$ than I ever thought.

Will have to head in another direction.

 

Initially got the idea of using them from seeing pictures of speakers with wood horns. Wow , some of them look awesome.  

But, the money, NO CAN DO!!!!

 

I have a set of JBL 300 cabinets, with no drivers in them.  

I thought, I would experiment and modify just to see what I could come up with.

 

I know most people want original, I just wanted to put some Bob Crites   drivers in them and have a beautiful wood horn on top.

If you still want to use the L300 cabs, I've seen those with the port closed up while using Altec 411 8A woofers.

 

Just have new surrounds put in every 15-years or so.
