James8912
Klipsch Satellite Quintet Gen IV Ceiling Mounted Question Alright just moved into the new house it has already been prewired with CL2 Premium 12AWG, which looks to be in great shape ! The wiring comes down from the ceiling, not the wall, Through a new construction box with the cable fed through the middle and nailed in to the 2x4 or what ever size of the framing. So its almost like we have a outlet mounted on the ceiling, but to mount your speakers with. As I would not trust or want to use the "Keyhole" method on the ceilings / or want to patch up a hole by taking down the box. My Question is, has anyone mounted the Gen IV Klipsch Quints to the ceiling and if so any suggestions on brackets ? or plates that would fit most junction boxes. any more disassembling of the Quint itself ? such as taking off the back plate or any thing custom ? I really don't want to put them on the ceiling with the stand that comes with the speaker but I don't think there is any choice around this as it looks to be the only thing that will support the speaker unless you did a custom "hole" and predrilled into the speaker. Hope this makes some sense, Thanks for the help !
robbiey60
I would not put speakers on the ceiling, especially lcr. You could do a lot better than those quintets if you stick around here a while!
mustang guy
Have you got pictures? Are you talking about all 5 speakers as ceiling speakers?
