Wolfbane
What has been the most oddball tube label you've come across in NOS tubes? In my quest for NOS tubes that my tube gear uses I found a 6SN7 tube labeled 'Telefunken' and a 12AX7 labeled 'Genalex' (not a re-issue made in Russia). I purchased the 12AX7 and passed on the single 6SN7.
mustang guy
Not unusual, but my favorite tube label is the McIntosh:
BillWojo
Telefunken tubes are highly sought after, premium tubes made in W Germany and usually fetch top dollar. The Jesse Brent web site can give you a good incite into the various tubes and manufactures out there. If the 6SN7 is still available and test good, you might want to grab it. mustang guy
McIntosh tubes, high quality nice looking tube. I wonder who makes them. I have no idea. I looked online and can't find info on current manufacturer. They were being made in the USA, then Russia, but the comany, SED stopped making tubes in 2012. That's all I could find. Perhaps somebody in the know can chime in. Edited March 14, 2016 by mustang guy
