efzauner
Guys Gals what are you using for receiver to projector in-wall HDMI category 2 Cable? The standard seems to say under 10M. Blue Jeans has premium BJC Series-1 Belden Bonded-Pair HDMI Cable that they say is good for these runs but its like $120. http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/hdmi-cables/hdmi-cable.htm Monoprice has redmere active cable for $50 for similar lenghths. http://www.monoprice.com/Search/Index?keyword=luxe+series+hdmi what do you all use for these lengths? Active or Passive? I am concerned that if the active electronics fails, I have major in wall wiring access problems to fix or replace the cable. Thanks Edited April 12, 2016 by efzauner
Moderators Youthman Posted April 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2016 I have used a 40' CL2 Passive from Monoprice for several years with no issues.
derrickdj1
In my small experience, I am not sure if active or passive makes that big of a difference with a 35 ft. run. Some cables have problems dropping the signal after 15-20 ft. A good quality cable should do pretty well.
