Matt,

You're an inspiration. Can't believe how fast you get them from beaters to keepers.

Keep up the good work.

Mark

Beaters to Keepers!!! I like that.

He's the Earl Scheib of La Scalas….(better than Earl)

Hmm...

Maybe, "Uh oh, better get Matthews", might be more modern.

All in good fun, Matt.

Are these the Scalas you used the crossovers and K55's in?

Always in good fun around here, Mark :)

Yes, I used the recapped AA's I got from you in this pair.  The 55's are just spares for future use (I got a great deal on them :emotion-21: )

Another pair SAVED :D

My apologies, but the Klipsch board software would only allow me to give you one "Like" for the pic of those refinished LS's instead of a thousand!

Really, really nice.

I am lucky to have a front seat to watch most of the transformations Matt has going on. His enthusiasm is a little annoying, but you get used to it. What amazes me is that he does these so fast and they turn out so nice. I know people who are fast and their work is sloppy and I know some that strive for perfection but take forever to get anything complete. As Mark stated, Matt takes them from "beaters to keepers" in record time. Another job well done.

...and now the truth comes out :o

Thank you for CNC'ing the grill frames for me, Sir.  They turned out perfect!  Felt like working in an understaffed sewing shop, cutting and gluing the cane however. It was brutal !!!  Doing 2 of them, not so bad.  To do 6 in the matter of a few hours, murder of the finger tips...

Matthews - Please what specific top coat paint did you use, and how many cans? Looks GREAT. Thank you, Lars

Thank you, Lars :)

I used Rust-Oleum High Performance Spray Enamel.  The entire cabinets got 6 coats.  The tops got about 20 coats (lost count after about the 15th coat).  In total, I used 6 cans.

The "bubble", is probably a "fish eye".

Very interesting phenomenon when painting, in any application method.

If you had only one, that's excellent.

Perfection is near impossible.

Google it.  Fish Eye.(painting )   Lars

instead of "most folks", I should have said "very few people"

It is one of my few skills,, aquired after alot of spraying experience.

Hamburger spray finger ----need to use the snap on spray handle.

Loses alot of the feeling, but overall better when doing multiple cans.  .  Lars

How much pleasure did you get doing the spraying????

Ventilation became a big problem very quickly.  Had a fan running with window open but just not enough air exchange.  Nearly made me sick.  Took about an hour-and-half to shoot them.

Matthews -

Having, and knowing how to use (at least somewhat, but learning) a decent quality spraygun is such an amazing experience.

I find it is possibly THE most rewarding of my shop skills.

Boat instrument boards,  sets kitchen cabinets, Clearcoated ground steel railings, German Feinwerkbau target rifle stock w Polyester system. and more.

Proud of what you did --Very much.           Lars
