Mallette
Meet today with the artist who did the Scott Joplin mural in downtown Texarkana. He sent me this concept for a Nancarrow mural and I love it. We don't have an outside wall but I have a couple of ideas for placement elsewhere in downtown. In our case, we have a long wall inside that would be perfect for a mural celebrating all: Boogie Woogie, Joplin, Nancarrow, jazz, blues, rock, PWK, etc. He is clearly a very passionate man who is willing to be poor and a people-dedicated artist than a wealthy one. His name is Arthur Pletcher and he only moved here ten years ago. He spent the first two years building his house and the rest of the time on projects like this. He's knowledgeable in Taoist philosophy amongst other things...got my attention right off! Dave

Moderators dtel Posted April 26, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 26, 2016 That is a good looking design, very nice, would almost look 3-D as a mural.
Mallette
His Joplin mural was completed a few months back. It's just across from the Perot Theater and within site of the home where Joplin recieved piano lessons from his mentor Julius Weiss. Schu
I love CN... I am less than enthusiastic about the mural design. Slightly uninspired imho.
